A seemingly random picnic on the East Fork of the Salmon River has turned into our dream vacation spot.  Welcome to the East Fork River Lodge in the center of Idaho in Custer County.  Located on 50+ acres with the East Fork of the Salmon River running through the middle of the property, we offer every ingredient for a relaxing and adventure vacation.  East Fork River Lodge is a completely restored 5,000 sq. ft. lodge and garage apartment including horse stables, pasture, kennel and beach with over 1,000 ft. of river frontage. Hiking, horseback riding, river rafting, hunting and fishing options are abundant with acres of public land in every direction. Ideally located near six wilderness areas, four ghost towns and natural hot springs all within an hour’s drive, East Fork River Lodge is a one of a kind destination.

Wildlife are plentiful in the valley including but not limited to elk, antelope, deer, bighorn sheep, bear, pheasants, chukar, grouse and the nearby Challis herd of wild horses.  Escaping the noise and lights of the city, plan a quiet night on a mountain dirt road with views of the lights of billions of galaxies in a certified Dark Sky Preserve or a white water rafting trip in the Frank Church Wilderness area. If hunting or fishing is your thing, the lodge is a short drive to several of Idaho’s renowned outfitters.

Come join us where a river runs through it at the East Fork River Lodge.
